By GuestSeptember 15, in Travellers Hut. I somewhere nearby and went in and ask what it's about. Seem's like a korean jimjilbang-ish kind of establishment where you pay an entrance fee for an 8 hour pass to the gender segregated bath and sauna, which also include sleeping cabins, food buffetgym, movie screening area etc.
Downtown Kuching looks dusty, a bit worn. It lacks any modern, urban shimmer. Bla Bla Bla, however, is stylish.

Please help us keep these listings up-to-date. Penang Island, with its UNESCO World Heritage treasure trove of George Town, the gold sand beaches of Batu Ferringhi, and verdant mountain backdrop, has everything that gay and lesbian travelers love: exquisite food including Nyonya-Baba indigenous fusion cuisine; thousands of architectural treasures including the stupendous colonial mansions of Asia's formerly rich and famous tycoons; sun and fun on tropical beaches; shady hikes through botanical spice gardens and jungle forests; multi-ethnic neighborhoods that are safe and welcoming places to explore on foot, bike, or pedi-cab; fascinating shrines, temples and mosques built over generations by the port's prosperous merchants and fortune-seekers from as far away as Arabia and Armenia; shops, malls and museums filled with beautiful bargains; and more than a bit of gay scene and nightlife for holiday fun and frolic. All this, yet Penang is so quiet, so cheap, so uncrowded, so easy to access, so friendly, and so rich in cultural treasures that you'll wonder why its not on every tourist's map of must-see cities in Asia.
Naturally, we were dead excited to go face down in the many food offerings, so we couldn't wait to set foot here. We've compiled our favorite places to eat, activities to do, gay friendly hotels to stay, fun bars and clubs in this gay travel guide to Penang. Have a fabulous time in the food capital of Asia!

Penang Island — one of the hidden treasures of South East Asia — offers something for everyone from white sand beaches and exotic mountain rainforest to the colonial gem of George Town and of course the best food in Malaysia. An intoxicating blend of cultures, Penang is as diverse as they come fusing old-world Asia with cosmopolitan design trends. Malaysia is a Muslim majority country and in general, has a low tolerance for homosexuality.
